How we work
Four steps, no theatre.
No discovery phase that bills for a month and produces a slide deck. The process exists to keep you seeing real progress and to make changing course cheap while it still is. Every project runs with one point of contact, the person building it.
Scope
A call, then a short written brief. We agree what the product must do, what it deliberately will not do, and what finished looks like.
Design
Flows and screens you can react to before a line of production code exists. Changing your mind is cheap here and expensive later.
Build
Working builds on your own device from the first week. You watch it come together instead of waiting for a reveal at the end.
Ship & support
We handle the launch, store submission for apps and going live for sites, then stay on for fixes, platform updates and the next iteration.

Our apps carry no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers and no third-party trackers. Where an account exists at all, it is because the app cannot work without one.

Does Calvera Labs build apps for other companies?
Yes. Alongside our own apps, Calvera Labs designs and builds mobile apps for outside clients, from startups and small teams to established companies launching their first app. We take on a small number of client projects at a time so each one gets the same attention our own products do.
Can I hire Calvera Labs to build my app?
You can. Send us what you are trying to build and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right studio for it. Engagements usually cover the whole path: product design, development, App Store and Google Play submission, and ongoing maintenance after launch.
What platforms does Calvera Labs develop for?
iOS and Android. Every app we build targets both platforms rather than shipping iOS first and porting later, and we handle publishing on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Does Calvera Labs build websites?
Yes. Alongside mobile apps we design and build websites, landing pages and web apps, from a single marketing page to a full product site, and maintain them after launch. Web work can be a project on its own; it does not have to come attached to an app.
Does Calvera Labs help with SEO or app store optimization?
Yes. We handle SEO and AEO setup for websites, app store optimization (ASO) for iOS and Google Play listings, analytics setup, and the content around a launch. It is the same work we do on our own products, so nothing here is theoretical.
Can Calvera Labs handle both the app and the website for my product?
Yes, and it is usually the better way to do it. One studio designing the app, the site and the launch means one design system, one voice and one person accountable for the whole thing, instead of three vendors pointing at each other when something breaks.
Does Calvera Labs build AI features?
Yes. We build AI into products rather than selling AI as the product: assistants and chat interfaces, retrieval over your own documents, and model integration inside an app or site we are already building. We will also tell you when a feature does not need a model, because a lot of them do not.
